At just 24 years old, Hillang Yajik from Kurung Kumey district, Arunachal Pradesh, made history by clinching gold in the Women’s Model Physique (up to 155 cm) category at the 15th South Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championships in Thimphu, Bhutan (June 11–15, 2025). She also took home a silver medal in a separate division—a double triumph that marks Arunachal’s first-ever international medal in women’s physique sports.

Yajik’s meteoric rise followed early national—silver at the 13th Federation Cup in Goa (April 2024)—and international qualification for the upcoming Asian and WBPF World Championships.

Born in 2000, Yajik holds a master’s in political science and balances her passion for fitness as a trainer and dance instructor.
